Dental Surgery Reverse Osmosis System with Pump and TDS Meter
Clinical-grade water purification designed for UK dental surgeries โ at a fraction of the cost of a distiller.
Removes up to 99.98% of impurities from mains water. Includes a TDS meter so you can verify water quality at any time. Built-in pump works even at low pressure. HTM 01-05 compliant.
HTM 01-05 compliant ย ยทย TDS meter included ย ยทย Built-in pump ย ยทย 3-year warranty ย ยทย No deliveries or contracts
"Very pleased, working very well... we log the water purity once a week and it's really good because we have got the TDS meter so you can see the difference between when the water comes in and when it comes out. The reading should be 10 or less and it always comes out around 3 which is really good."
Verify your water quality at any time โ with the included TDS meter
Most dental water purification systems give you no ongoing way to confirm the water is still performing. This system includes a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter that measures the purity of your output water in real time. You can check it in seconds and log the reading for CQC compliance records.
The TDS meter removes the guesswork. Replace the membrane when the readings tell you to โ not on a fixed schedule โ which may be earlier or later depending on your local water quality and usage volume.
HTM 01-05 compliant โ meets UK dental decontamination standards
HTM 01-05 (Health Technical Memorandum 01-05) is the UK guidance governing decontamination in primary care dental practices. It specifies the water quality required for sterilisation and decontamination equipment. This system is designed to meet those requirements.

"We used to use a distiller in the decom room but it wasn't quick enough. This unit is far better. It fills a jug up in one go rather than having to wait around half the morning. And it's much more cost effective."
How does Reverse Osmosis compare to your current solution?
Many dental practices are using distillers or relying on ionised water deliveries. Both work โ but both have significant drawbacks that RO eliminates entirely.
"We used to have a large distilled water machine which cost a fortune. We got this reverse osmosis filter when we moved into the new practice. We use it for the autoclaves and are very happy with it. There's no more waiting around for the distilled water. Now it's on tap whenever we need it so it saves us a lot of time. It works very well. Plus the replacement filters are very easy to fit."
Why does this cost less than comparable dental systems?
Many dental practices have been sold water purification systems at prices that are simply not justified. We have seen RO units with fancy housings โ and sometimes added Ultra Violet filtration โ sold at a significant premium. UV filtration is an excellent technology for private water supplies such as boreholes. For mains-fed dental surgeries it is completely unnecessary: the RO membrane already removes bacteria and a far wider range of contaminants. The UV adds cost, not performance.
Reverse Osmosis is a binary process. It either works or it doesn't โ there are no degrees of performance between a well-made and a very expensive RO unit. If someone is charging you significantly more for the same process, it is worth asking why. Our system removes up to 99.98% of impurities. A system costing three times as much cannot do meaningfully better than that.
We sell direct online, with no showroom overheads and no sales representatives. We pass that saving to you. The TDS meter included in this kit lets you verify for yourself that the water meets clinical standards โ you don't have to take our word for it.
"It's good. We use it to feed the autoclave and all the water goes through it fine โ it's never rejected. In fact we've recently bought another one for our other practice."
Installation โ straightforward for most surgeries
Everything you need is in the pack. Most surgeries can install this without a plumber. If you have a complex autoclave system we recommend having a plumber connect the feed โ a straightforward one-hour job for most trades.
"Very good product. We've had it for almost 4 years now. We set it up as an extra tap in the kitchen โ which comes with the kit. We take the filtered water from that to fill the autoclave every couple of days... We used to use ionised bottled water but it was fiddly... We also use it for the water going to the drills but add some altron for that. It's simple and highly cost effective compared to other options."
Replacing the filters โ simple, and we remind you when it's time
Like all water filters, the system needs periodic cartridge changes to maintain performance. We send you a free reminder when each change is due. You replace the cartridges only โ not the housings โ and all first filters are supplied with the unit.

Calculate your savings vs your current method
How much could your practice save by switching to RO?
Adjust the sliders to match your current setup โ we'll calculate your estimated year 1 and 5-year savings.
| RO system | Current method | |
| Annual cartridge cost | ยฃ90/yr | โ |
| Servicing & maintenance | Included | โ |
| Membrane (avg/yr) | ~ยฃ32 | โ |
| Total annual running cost | โ | โ |
| Year 1 total (inc. unit) | โ | โ |
Estimates based on: RO cartridges ยฃ90/yr (code FRO-DEN-PMP), membrane ~ยฃ79 every 2.5 years (~ยฃ32/yr avg), waste water ~ยฃ5/yr. Distiller and delivery costs taken from your inputs. Individual results vary by usage, local water quality and supplier pricing. Call 020 8761 6611 for a personalised assessment.
As part of the RO process, approximately 60โ70% of the water drawn through the system is rejected and sent to drain. This only applies to the relatively small volume of water used for sterilising equipment โ not the water used elsewhere in the surgery. The estimated cost of this waste water is around 40p per month โ a negligible consideration against the savings made versus distillers or ionised water deliveries.
